The Orthodox Church is the original Christian Church, founded by Jesus Christ and His Apostles on the day of Pentecost in 33AD. Our faith has been handed down unchanged by the Apostles' successors in every generation to the present day. It is a living, experiential faith, and we warmly invite visitors to "come and see" and experience this life in Christ.

Our parish in Swansea serves Orthodox Christians of many nationalities throughout South Wales. Services are celebrated predominantly in English, with some parts also in Greek and Welsh. We are part of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain.

The next Liturgy will be on SATURDAY 21st December 10:00 at:
St Mary's Church
Swansea
SA1 3LP.

Our priest, Fr Luke, has served the parish for 25 years. He stepped down from his position after Pascha 2019 and will be sorely missed. Archbishop Nikitas has agreed for our parish to come under the wing of Cardiff and to be served by one of their priests, currently once a month.
